Sometimes discussing work issues requires more than one-on-one conversations. In this case, group chats will come in handy, which will provide an opportunity to "gather in one place" all the necessary members.
In addition, this functionality will allow you to divide all your discussions with colleagues thematically. In one chat, you can agree on a new design for the landing page, in the second to solve questions about the organization of the conference, and in the third to choose a welcome gift for new team members.
How to create a group chat?
To do this, you need to use a special button, which is located next to the chat search field.
The creation window will open. First of all, you need to come up with the name of the chat.
And also upload an image.
Next, you need to add members. Check the necessary members in the list.
Or find them using the search.
You can select the list item All employees. In this case, all active users of Space will be included in the list of chat members.
Then click Create a chat.
As a result, the chat will be added to the general list and will be opened as active to start communication in it.
How to edit?
To do this, you need to click on the interaction button and select Edit.
❗️This action is only available to the user who created this chat and to the owner or administrator of Space.
Click on the pencil icon or the Add button to open the editing form.
Change the name (1) of the chat, its image (2) or chat members- add a new member (3) or delete (4) an existing one. After that, save everything (5).
How to delete?
To do this, you need to click on the interaction button and select Delete.
❗️This action is only available to the user who created this chat and to the owner or administrator of Space.
You will need to confirm your actions.
❗️Please note that all messages will be deleted with the chat and cannot be restored.
After that, the chat disappears from the list of active chats.
How to leave the chat?
All members of the chat, except the owner, can leave it at any time. To do this, you need to click on the interaction button and select Leave.
Or you can ask the user who created this chat to edit its members and delete the necessary person.
As a result of such actions, the user will no longer have access to the chat and will not be able to write a message there until he/she is added to this chat again.
How to view chat members?
All chat members can view which Space users are in this chat. To do this, just click on its name.
For the user who created the chat, as well as for the owner of the Space and the administrator, if they are its members, this form of viewing allows you to proceed to editing.
