In CRM, a product is a supporting entity that helps to make deals. In order for this deal to be made, it is necessary to sell a certain product or provide a certain service that the client needs now. How to display all this in CRM? The answer is simple - establish connections between the deal and the product.
⚙️ You can also work with products in leads and in Smart Object elements. The working principle is the same everywhere, so for convenience, we will consider everything using deals as an example.
Adding products to a deal
To do this, go to the deal card. Here you will see the Products tab. With its help, you can link goods or services from your catalog and specific deals.
After clicking, you will go directly to the Products tab.
Here, specify which goods you will sell to the client (or which service will be provided).
Start typing the name to find what you need faster.
As a result, the product will be added to the list.
🟣 If the product card states that tax is included in its price, this will also be automatically displayed in the fields after adding this product to the deal.

🟣 A product is automatically added to a deal with the price type that is set as the main in the settings.
If needed, you can select the price type that suits this particular deal.

🟣 If necessary, you can specify a percentage discount. The system will also calculate its monetary value.
💡Please note that the discount is calculated for the product unit and also always applies to tax calculation.
🟣 You can also specify the number of units of the product.
💡 Accordingly, this change will also be reflected in the discount and tax amounts.
You can add more than one product to the deal. In order for another row to appear, you need to click on the corresponding button.
Again select the desired product from the catalog. As a result, it will be added to the deal.
You can also add several different products to a deal at once. To do this, use the Selection from catalog button.
The catalog window will open. Select all the required products (1) and click Add (2).
As a result, they will appear in the list.
If the product you need is not available, you can create it right away. To do this, click the + new product button.

If you need to add a special product that is not in your catalog and will only be used for a specific deal, use the Local product option.

Deleting products from the deal
Of course, in the work process, there may be a need to delete the product from the deal. To do this, click on the trash can icon next to the desired row.
And confirm your actions.
As a result, the product will be removed from the list and will no longer be connected with the deal.
The total amount of the products in the deal
Each time a product is added to or deleted from the deal, the total amount is recalculated.
It includes:

💡 How to calculate the amount without 20% VAT if it’s already included in the price?
Formula:
Price without VAT = Price with VAT / 1.2
We divide by 1.2 to remove the 20% VAT that is already included in the price.
The number 1.2 is a coefficient that represents 100% of the base price + 20% tax.

In order for this total cost of the products to be automatically pulled into the Deal amount field, you need to check the box responsible for this.
As a result, after each change (adding or deleting) of the number of products in the deal, a recalculation takes place and the most recent value of the amount is entered.
Features of product prices
1. A change in the price of the product in its card does NOT change the price (amount) of the product in the cards of the deals in which it is used. It works vice versa.
2. The price (amount) displayed for the product when it is quickly created in the deal card is NOT pulled into the card of this product in the catalog.
3. The price of all products in the deal is always displayed in only one currency.
When a currency unit is changed for one product, a change also applies to all products in the list.
💡If some products are not priced in the selected currency in the deal, their price will be 0.
If the conversion option is active in accordance with the cost of the products in the Deal amount field, the price will also be displayed in the selected currency.
