In Uspacy, you can create custom analytics reports not only for CRM, tasks, Smart Objects, or External Channels, but also for Email. This helps analyze email activity, assess messaging volume, and better understand how the email channel is being used.
These reports allow you to view the number of incoming and outgoing emails, compare activity across mailboxes, authors, statuses, email types, or sender names. For example, you can create a report showing how many emails were received and sent through a specific mailbox, as well as who appears most frequently in communication.

How to create an Email report?
In the entity dropdown, select Email. The report will be generated based on data from this tool.

Next, enter a clear report title. You can also add a short description. This is optional, but useful when multiple team members work with analytics.

Then, if needed, configure the Applied filters section. Filters allow you to limit the data included in the report. For example, you can build a report for a single mailbox or only for emails with a specific status.

If no filters are added, the report will include all available data.
Available filter fields for Email reports include:
- Creation date
- Author
- Mailbox
- Status
- Email type
- Sender name

As with other custom reports, you can add multiple conditions and define how they are combined: All conditions at the same time or At least one condition.
Next, select how the system should display the data by selecting a chart type. The format depends on the result you need:
- Use a bar chart to compare email volumes across different categories.
- Use a pie or donut chart to see proportions of the total volume.
- Use other visualization types for more detailed analysis.

When configuring the Email report, you work with several key parameters.
View by β defines the main dimension used to build the report.
Available options for Email:
- Author
- Mailbox
- Creation date
- Status
- Email type

For example, selecting Email type allows you to compare incoming and outgoing emails.
Measure by β defines the metric being analyzed in the report.
For Email, the available metric is Number of emails. The report counts how many emails match the selected filters and grouping.

Group by β allows further breakdown of the data within the report.
Available options:
- No grouping
- Author
- Mailbox
- Status
- Sender name

For example, you can build a report grouped by email type (incoming vs outgoing) and further break it down by sender name to see distribution per sender.
If a pie or donut chart is used, you can enable additional options:
- Show values
- Show %
This allows you to see both absolute numbers and percentage shares.

After completing all settings, click Create.

The report will then appear in the Reports and widgets tab. An Email label will be shown next to it so you can easily identify its data source.

Overall, Email analytics reports help you better monitor email activity and view key metrics in one place. They allow you to:
- Track incoming and outgoing emails.
- Analyze mailbox activity.
- View distribution by authors, statuses, or email types.
- Identify the most active senders.
- Assess workload on the email channel.
- Configure flexible visualizations based on your needs.
This provides the team with clearer insights into email communication, helping them quickly evaluate messaging volume, activity, and overall channel workload.
