By configuring a conditional action, you can automatically assign a specific user as a participant or observer at the right moment. This allows multiple people to be involved in a task—for example, when it is created under certain conditions or transitions to a new status or stage. Automation helps eliminate routine processes and ensures timely team collaboration.
Setting up a Conditional Action
First, select a trigger. In our example, it is a task change.
As a condition, specify the group whose tasks will trigger the automation.
Specify the stage the task should move to in order to activate the automation.
💡 Both conditions must be met simultaneously. That is, the conditional action will not work if you move a task from this group to any other stage.
Next, specify the action Change fields.
Select Task as the entity to which the field changes will apply.
Then add the field Observers and specify the desired user.
When everything is ready, just click Create conditional action.
Result
Move the task to the required stage.
You’ll see that an observer has been added.
